Thanks everyone involved for making it another great gathering.

Glad I made it for a couple of days. It was well worth it to catch up with the crew.

One thing that struck me was the general improvement in speeds given the conditions werent ideal. It was great to see everyone having a go in the relatively tricky conditions on Tuesday when the rolling chop usually puts people off doing long runs.

So thanks again Al and Matt, Tom and other sponsors, and all the other guys who helped out and/or made the effort to come down.

Indeed a great fortnight - had an absolute blast. Great to meet all the lads, top guys who are v passionate about speed sailing. Thanks for supporting me and teaching me heaps. Many thanks also to Al and Mathew for all their work and support.
DVD will be out in next week or so, just sifting through 1000+ pics and still extracting sand out from my equipment. Will also post more pics on web soon.

W.T.F. was that board at 3:15 with the picklefork nose... Didn't look like a "dan E" creation!

Amazing photos Adam. Some of the best windsurfing photos I can remember seeing. Colour and definition made it seem like we were on some tropical paradise if you could ignore the 5mm steamers.

Loved the expression on the sailors faces. Must remember to smile more next time.

Great photos Ads! The lighting in the shots where you are shooting east is just unreal.

I have to comment on the 'final proto' 09 Koncept I was using at this event.

The first time we set it it just looked right without any fiddling around. It really does have to best characteristics of all the Koncepts to date and rigs perfectly straight from the bag on a 4m RDM with a deep powerful profile down low and a lovely even, progressive twist up top. The leading edge has clean, slippery entry and the sail feels beautifully light and balanced in the hands. Even though I was quite underpowered for most of the Tuesday I was surprised that I still found it faster than my '07 5.8 (which I have had quite a long time to get tuned and is another sail I particularly like). I can't wait for a real blow where I can get it fully powered up. I recon there is a new PB just begging to be unleashed. I just wish I had the '09 5.8 version on this day.
