I was there for speed fortnight but apparently they don't include footage of guys drinking inside next to the heater. The good thing is that we got a sneak peek at some of the footage.

I think Sick-em might qualify for credits based on the out-takes.

Already ordered my copy from Laurie. Kinda chuffed to see I made the front cover in name at least, certainly wasn't expecting it.

No worries Ms Whitecaps. I think I will have it sussed this year... all I have to do is avoid someone that talks a bit on the beach, and I should be able to make it into the water. I think I saw a picture of her on a try windsurfing day somewhere recently...

Andrew, no, I haven't seen the DVD, but I recall there were a few out takes when Mic showed some interviews at the time, but the only one I can think of is Daffy forgetting his age.

In the movie there is a great comment from Spotty about how difficult it was just to hold the board and sail steady to get started. What many might not realize is that he is behind the sand dune at that point where the wind was about 15-20 knots less!!!!

I managed to get started there, but when I bailed out at the end of the run, there was no way I could lift the 4.4m sail into the water start position without being thrashed and trashed! I drifted downwind bobbing and swallowing wind spray and fighting the rig until I was nearly exhausted. I finally managed to half drag and half sail myself back to the bank. That was the deciding factor in the end why I didn't try a third run....

Slowly drink beer? No, unfortunately I drink it too fast, and for some reason the world gets faster and goes blurry. I haven't figured that out yet; maybe I am allergic to it.

I hope I don't appear in the sequel or the prequel. I am not paying to see myself swimming around shallow inlet.

cheers Andrew...15knots is fine it makes a long drive worth it...dont like the looks of that 55kn day................

Mate, I would not like to promise any more (look what happened last year!) but you would be very unlucky not to get a few days of 20-30 knots, even if the wind direction is not ideal. I can't remember a speed fortnight when this was not the case....
Any way it goes, it will be great fun!

Think i will have to get a copy off drift next time i see him at inverloch
