Portland Harbour 40knot 500m record

Pete Young today achieved his dream and managed a 40knot 500m at Portland Harbour where the first speedsailing competitions were held. No one else has managed this before.

I have updated the article with pictures and more details of the tracks. He scored an average 5x500m of 39knots!!!! To put this in perspective the Weymouth Speed Week record held by Anders B was 38knots!
I saw him today and he was grinning from ear to ear.

For all those who follow the GTC you will know him as The Matrix, the Portland Pirates big hitter (although there are a few others who hit quite hard as well)
