"Poo in the pants windy" at the Pit this week!

Crazy strong winds forecast all this week at Sandy Point. Unfortunately I'm way too busy at work to take time off but it sounds like some of the Pit Crew will be there including Daffy, Ado and Kato.

You can see that Kato has what it takes for such days from this photo of him relaxing up at Burrum Heads earlier this year...

Skunked the low was about 200 km to far nth which meant the centre was over the Pit with light winds (20/25kt) had a fun sail an hr with a 5.8. Some days ya win and some days ya don't . Swan Bay had a gust of 69 kts

Had to use a 5.8 and a 87 lt board
after starting with a 4.4 and 60 lt in anticipation of Armageddon

I think kato is painting a far too rosy picture. While it was blowing 50-60 knots in Port Phillip, at the Pit the clouds peeled away as far as the eye could see and it was totally becalmed. I mean not a breath of wind for over an hour.

I joked about sun baking at one point.

Ya win some and a lose some...
