I sailed at Lilacs at Albany WA on Thursday. It was an excellent speedsailing day with flat water and wind gusting over 30 knots. I have been using the small motion logger for some time and have been loving it, and like many who use it had strapped it to the top of my helmet for best reception. Unfortunately, I think during one of the periods standing in knee deep water at the top of the course waiting to start a nautical mile run, I've bashed the logger with the sail or mast and dislodged it, never to be seen again.
There is no trace of glue on the remaining base so either not enough was used or it didn't stick very well. I'd advise anyone using a motion logger to consider running an additional bead of epoxy or superglue around the seam between the body of the logger and the base, particularly if you mount yours on a helmet.
