One for the Motion guru's. Can I download results from Motion GPS using my Ipad? I'm thinking not, but thought I had better confirm.
Cheers.

If you can download from a standard USB drive then it should work. But I have a feeling that ipads don't have a usb port.
It may be possible with the new logger, that will use wifi

Hi Decrepit. OK, I've downloaded the tracks via the wi-fi - instructions are handy. Now, it appears that KA-72 isn't capable of reading the files the Motion produces. On previous occasions I have used GPS Speedreader, but this download doesn't appear to be available for the IPad ....or is it?? Is there another solution that anyone is aware of??

Hello ! KA72 should handle it. Send me the file and I'll check it.

P.S : Yes you can connect to it from anything that has WiFi.

Soooo....
does that mean with the new loggers that so many of us have ordered, we will be able to go to an iPhone (WiFi) to KA72 to GPSTC immediately after a sail (no computer)?

Yes Mikey100, in effect I think you could. After nutting through it last night, as long as you can download the file on to your iphone or any phone for that matter, from the Motion, that comes using the address supplied and the phone is connected to the Motions WiFi, you should be able to very effectively post directly after your session.
It's just a matter of copy/paste the file straight to KA72. You will need to remember to disconnect from the Motions WiFi to be able to access your regular internet/data service. You will be able to keep the page open that the file was dropped to, even though your Motion is disconnected.
Then let KA72 and GPSTC site do there thing. YES, is the answer to your query my friend.

This will be improved later : Motion will connect to your own network if possible (so you don't have to switch) and maybe you'll be able to click on an icon and upload directly to your favourite competitions.
