I've just got my Motion ( LCD version).
Can you get a display that shows all the categories at once or do you have to scroll through? Is there a setting that has a changing display of all of them?
I suppose you can leave it on the category you're concentrating on at the time?
Is the alpha the 500m display?
I just figured out how to get the best results in each category..
I can get the main window for each category and the best 10 but how do I get all these?

As I didn't know if I'd ever find a good screen again and had to work another job, I haven't moved everything from the old device to the new yet. These will all come back with time.

How do you upload it? I don't have Wi Fi on my desktop.. will that matter?

yep you need wifi of some sort, phone, tablet, desktop, any of those will do. If you have no other alternative, you can buy a wifi dongle for the desktop.

JulienLe ,im interested in ordering a motion with screen .I know there was some supply issues. What is the current e.t.a for the unit when ordered of the website.

Regarding the question above, it's not that I take a year to make one. It's that it took me a year to find a new LCD. And now that I found one, I only had a handful of it because if it ended up failing, I didn't want to have plenty of useless screens on my hands and books.

Sounds so frustrating! Enjoying mine..

Sue left her Wireless Motion with me so I could set it up the same as my USB Motion.

It is interesting to see the two models side by side.
Firstly the buttons have a nicer feel on the wireless model and the built in strap holder is a more secure attachment method.
The wireless version is very slightly thicker and the screen is slightly smaller, but you wouldn't notice until you see them side by side.

The current firmware (as Julien mentioned) is very different.
The Wireless version menu is: (Firmware 3007)
Results-Info-Wifi-Shutdown

The USB version menu is: (Firmware 993)
Map-Results-Charts-info-Time-Files-Customs-Settings-Emergency-Shutdown

The most useful of these features is the Custom screens, where it is possible to build your own screens and make it automatically cycle through them.

I could be missing something but as far as I can tell this functionality is not currently available on the wireless version.

I think Julien said that he's working on bringing the wireless version up to date

i would suggest not to update the wi fi version will just have to live with it as it is till Julien does the new firmware other wise you will bugger it up it does all you need at the moment dont risk it there too hard to get

Maybe you shouldn't fiddle Andrew..Ask Julien first?

Your Motion has the latest Firmware (3007 26-July-2020).
You need to wait for Julien to update the firmware to include Custom fields.
