WOW!!!!!!

There is something about having monthly rewards, coz this seems where the GTC is most competitive and close??????

Could you do one winners windcheater for each month, saying which month it had been won etc.
It could be rewarded to the person in the team that got the most pb's or something along those lines, but with the idea in mind of trying to avoid slowie having a cupboard full of windcheaters.

Now you're talking money, first you've got to work out where it's coming from, the Tshirts have payed for general expenses, and the yearly trophy, but I don't think it runs to monthly windcheaters.
And it would be very hard to work out a fair way of picking just one team member.

Yeah it would be hard to pick individual members. How about just a 'Hall of Fame' sort of thing as part of the site that has the year as one page, with the monthly winning team listed for each month.

ie:

2008 Hall of Fame

January
Team 1

February
Team 2

Could even have a 'special mention' for individual members that put in an outstanding effort.

It sounded as if hardie might be keen to splash some cash
Picking the "one" - team member would be at least half the fun.[}:)]

An amazing story this month of so many teams putting in great efforts in a variety of conditions.

Well done in particular to two stand-out teams. First to FNQ who did an amazing job and then to MBM for taking line honours at the last second.

What a fabulous contest this is

Like that idea!!

Dunno about splashing cash though, need some sponsors to get on board and offer a monthly prize. The current sponsors all offer prizes, and Hydrodynamix give away a monthly prize, but that is an encouragement award, Seabreeze give away a monthly prize of sms alerts.

We could always just sail for the fun of it rather than prizes.

Just a thought (it was lonely I had to release it to the wild)

I am with the furry red one.
I love to watch the table as the places change and am happy just to see the result.

Only purists sail just for fun, most people on this forum are superficial materialistic nhilists determined to extract and maximise every personal benefit they can before venturing near the water

Wow that was a pretty close call, I thought August was going to be a total right off for us.
Great team effort from the boys.
What a great comp though had everyone guessing who was going to take this month out.
Great effort form FNQ team as well for leading for most of August.

This weeks looking good too so hope to post some nice times.

..... and can anyone knock MBM of the top spot which they have already claimed in September. Can they really lead for 28 days straight?
