I have two identical BGT-31s, a couple of months ago I upgraded the firmware in both to V1.4
Today I wanted to use the Bluetooth function to stream to a laptop. I realized that the blue tooth was turned off, I searched for the 'Bluetooth' and 'Bluetooth sniff' options under the setting menu, but they had disappeared. It's as if the BGT-31 has become a GT-31. Funny thing is my other unit still has the Bluetooth options in the menu and works fine.

Has anybody else had this problem? is there a fix?

Is it remotely possible you used BGT firmware on one and GT on the other? (if there is diferent firmware that is)

I encountered this problem a couple of years back. I posted on the GPS3 forum and emailed Tom Chalko, but never got an answer. Nor did I find a way to go back to the way things were before the "upgrade".

Try Locosys direct. I thin they would know more about the BT than Tom.

I have no idea, but try uploading the firmware again. (making sure it is the right one).

Failing that. Go back to the previous firmware.

No harm in emailing Locosys with the issue either.

I thought about going back to V1.3 but couldn't find it anywhere online. I could only find V1.4 (which states that it is for GT and BGT)

If you have no Luck with other options..

still sitting on the computer.
