Help please. Although I have not booked the surgery yet to remove that bit of grey matter that gets slightly concerned about self preservation when the board speed is at a level where the water becomes hard when you hit it, I can feel myself slowly falling into the abyss of the dark side of speed.
I have read that Fat=Fast, so it would appear I potential to be world class; I am just missing the fast part of the equation. My problem is my gybes. I cannot keep enough speed through the turn to keep on the plane. I am looking for some instructional DVD's so I can just review my footwork and technique. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what is good and where to find it?

Thanks for the info, I had a look at the website, it looks the goods! If someone has an old copy they want to sell let me know before I splash out on a new one.

Fangy, when the knife does it's work, it's probably time to join the Mandurah Mob.
We'd be really pleased to have you.

Ask someone who is good at gybing to give you a lesson. So much better than watching a video. A video can't watch you and tell you what you are doing wrong.

Trouble is Anita, Fangy mainly sails over at his side of the estuary by himself.
We'll have to persuade him to join us at Alpha land for some gybe practise.
We'll take it in turns to act as gybe markers, somebody may even have a gopro.

Decrepit, I am not sure you have thought this through... With members of the Mandurah Mob acting as gybe markers we may soon see the demise of the entire team within a session! Standing in front of 120 kgs of poorly controlled flabby bits at 30 knots is not for the sane or faint hearted

Thanks for the help - I have ordered the DVD so here is hoping that this coupled with running over Mandurah Mob members acting as gybe markers gets the results I want. Even if it doesnt running over Decrepit still sounds like fun
