Lilacs cottages are donating a trophy each year, for the best NM sailed at Lilacs, from beginning of October to the end of April.
I'll have a trawl through the GTC postings and come up with a list of NMs done there for this season so far.
It would be a help if people post their best NM so far here. With session date and GTC team and nick name

I don't think it's limited to the GTC, but we'd need to check any file that's not posted on the GTC.
The log would need to be at least 1s Doppler recording. PM me and I'll respond with my email address to post the file to.

Morts has already made a start on the list so I'll post that below and add to it as I find more.

1. Elmo 35.35
2. Stretch 34.56
3. Stroppo 34.38
4. Saltynuts 34.17
5. Decrepit 33.41
6. Morts 32.67
7. Evets 32.28
8. Shane121 31.50
9. Windrider 31.27
10. BSN101 29.6
11 Borgy 28.39

You may have to go there again, with better equipment and do more runs to stay in 10th place (or improve it), over the next 2 months.

Morts saw my face after the first run. I will come back again and if I'm lucky it will be windy too.
Need to be a better sailor next time.
10th or top 100. I'm happy as!

Very good of Lilacs to donate this trophy If you are coming down to Albany to sail the Easterlies then Lilacs is a great place to stay, as you can rig up outside your cabin & it's a very short walk down to the water to launch. Just remember to bring the weed fins.

Dave hopefully we will see you back again!

Just had a PM from Mathew asking me where Lilacs is.
Sorry everybody who's not familiar with this place, I should have included a spiel in the first post.
As Morts has just said It's at Albany, in the harbour at the western end.

Here's my tracks from our January visit

Unfortunately the waterfront cabins were full, but the Lilacs folk accommodated us at there overflow units.
So the launch site here is Harding Rd. Lilacs itself is a bit more than a thumb width further North, shows as a complex of bright white roofs

Think Evets has jumped up a spot today and past the Cap'n. Not sure that's a wise move overtaking the boss

Thanks for your work on this Morts and Decrepit. Not sure if a westerly mile is going to be possible or fast. Hoping for another easterly ??

New leader

Mr Salty Nuts 36.03
gpsteamchallenge.com.au/sailor_session/show?date=2017-03-21&team=105

I feel better for that,
It's not much of an achievement leading a competition when nobody knew there was one

I think this is the full leaderboard below as it stands currently, with still a couple more to post.

Congrats to Chris on the stonking run! I just realised it was your 2nd best NM in GPSTC Added the rig set-up you used as it's probably a little different to what many would expect.

OK, Saltynuts is the winner with 36.03knots on 21 March 2017.
His trophy is being engraved now. Joe and Annette, of Lilacs water front cottages, say they'll send a pic of it shortly.
Then we just have to get it to Chrisso.

Congrats Chris on taking out the inaugural Lilacs trophy! That was a cracking run on the big gear

Thanks to those at Lilacs for supporting this fun little comp.

19 entrants this year with about one third of them achieving PB's. See you all next Summer...

I was on a non cam 7 batten sail 108ltr x 66 wide delta 21.

Any other non cam sails in this list?

It was soo much fun going deep...

Cheers Dave
