Would like to know;

IS the "JP/NP Mob Netherlands" on the GPSTC a Professional Team or semi Pro?

Or are they fly weight mortals like the rest of the GPSTC Teams?

Whats the definition of a professional? In my book a pro sportsperson is someone whose main source of income and livelyhood is from the sport they are participating in. So if the JP/NP Mob are in this category then yes.

However if they receive subsidised gear but depend on other income to feed themselves and pay the bills then no.

There are rumours that some (if not all of them) might have some sort of sponsorship.

There's no doubt that they are all very, very good

Quite sure Jacques is the JP/NP importer for the Dutch.

Does this give a clue?

Do all those sails look the same to you?

If they were spono'ed by NP/JP they would all be riding JP's. Cant see any in the pic.

Hat's off to them spono'ed or not. I think quite a few aussies would do ok at their speed strip. i think at the pointy end of the GTC it's all about conditions not who's paying for your gear thats counts.

Here's some inside info straight from the Netherlands.

The photo isn't the JP/NP Mob but the Wad1team.

The JP/NP team are all, besides Ben v/d Steen, locally sponsored surfers. They all have regular jobs and take the trips to France in their sparetime.

It is correct that Jaques v/d Hout is the dutch NP/JP importer.
