As a Macro -scientist I use to ask this same question 2 or three times and still have may doubt until the theory could be empirically tested in
my experiment.
That have nothing to do with the "ignorance & disrespectful" behavior- this is simply how science works.
Firstly - not all good advises could instantly implemented.
For example You could say: to do planing gybe you need to do this and this, then show somebody video 3 times over.
That still doesn't guarantee that aspiring rookie sailor will jump on the board and do alpha 25 in the moment after.
To learn new tricks takes time, for me possibly next few months to understand and implement.
