A new gps speedsailing term "Been Slowied" has been added to the windsurfing Lexicon and it refers to the phenomenom of "when a windsurfer or windsurfing team has just posted very fast gps speeds which puts them on the top of a leaderboard, only to be skunked when Mr Slowboat posts for the Soft River mob

Don't ya hate that How many times does it happen

No disrespect meant to any other Soft River Mobbers who are all excellent sailorsin their own right

I "Got Slowied" once.
Just managed to make my GPS show 30+ for the first (and only) time ever.
Came in and Slowie says "Check this out" and shows me 49+ knots and two GPS's after his trip to Sandy Point a few days earlier

made me laugh tho

When this GPSTC thing was started, Kato and I suggested at least adding NM to the detriment of the PiT crew...

It turns out that he flies over here every bloody time we get wind... pretty much skunking us every single time we get the conditions that would put us on top...

Can we make him plant trees for his carbon offset for all the flying he does. That should keep him busy for about three years and let us catch up
