Having trouble with one of the gw52 units wont connect to compt , all the software on the compt works fine with another gw52 just not this one

I assume you have tried unplug and plug back in and other com ports?

Also try another cable and make sure it is making a good contact in the USB ports.

The GWlink mode is interesting, by any chance does it show up where usb devices normally do?

Some body was saying with the right software, you can change the mode of the device so it acts like a normal usb device so the utility isn't needed. I'm wondering if your device has somehow changed to that mode.
If that's the case you may not need to use the utility.

Try some lube in the cable pins this fixed my connection problem. Don't spray any lube in the GPS port but plug the cable in and work it in.

Thanks Glyn, just had the same thing happen to my test unit.
Sprayed a small amount of CRC into the socket, and worked the plug in and out a few times and it's come good.
I think I'll do this on a regular basis from now on, maybe once a month or so if I remember.
