Sorry to weigh in so late.
TO DOWNLOAD A KML FILE THAT CAN BE OPENED IN GOOGLE EARTH:
When you are looking at a track details page (e.g.
www.ka72.com/Track/t/155959 ) you can use the blue KML link
Download the file then open it with Google Earth.
GOOGLE EARTH PRO is now available for free from Google for Windows/Mac at:
www.google.com.au/earth/download/gep/agree.htmlTHE COLOURED SECTIONS OF TRACK
these relate to different peak speeds. The black bits are the 5x10s. The red bit is the 2s peak.
You can hide and show these in GOOGLE EARTH by expanding the layers and ticking and unticking the boxes there. See below.
Note next to each box is a little triangle of circles where the circles are the colour of the track segment in Google Earth.
If you have another program you prefer to use, you can just download the original track file from ka72 also.
The download button appears on the search results screen for any track the owner has marked as Public (or Anonymous tracks less than a week old.)
These files can then be loaded into many other applications.
