Is there any way of uploading / clearing the watch for the next session without doing it on the computer? My lead has broken and I'm sourcing another one but I'd like to have the use of the watch for onwater feedback.

There is no way to download your file without the cable.

See the user manual for details on how to clear the memory using the watch controls

edit , hmm - the manual I have is not too clear on this,

so:

Turn the watch on.

Go into GPS mode.

press the Adjust button - a trashcan appears and yes/no options

use the reset button to select yes and press Mode button to delete memory file.

If you want to preserve the file in the memory, you can just turn the logging off in a seperate menu, or you can leave it on and you may have enough memory to record all the sessions anyhow to download later.

PS: Or you could always take your laptop to the lake and borrow a cable to download. :-)

Andrew, I think that deletes the log memory,

Delete all logging data: In"ACT SPEED"screen, press
ADJUST/ ? , there will be"DEL LOG?" message to
remind the data delete.

to delete the display memory.

Section 3. Setting
3.1
Setting page:
ADJUST/
? : Enter edit mode/ Confirm.
?: Up.
?: Down.
MODE/BACK: Exit edit mode/ Cancel.
3.2
RESET DISP: Command to clear top speed records or
traveled distance.
? ALL
? DISTANCE
? 5#NSEC
? TOP RSLT

Ok. I can see the adjust button but when I press that I don't get any edit option? How do I go up and down?
I've only ever worked with the watch via computer and someone else set it up for me.

do you have the quick start manual?

www.manualslib.com/manual/1206096/Locosys-Gw-60.html

You use the right hand side "Start' and 'Adjust' buttons to go up and down the menus.

Gday sue, simple way to reset kl, 5x10, top rslt from the watch.
turn on the GPS,
Scroll using the start or reset button to the screen you want to reset I.e 5x10
Hit the adjust button on the left, a pop up says No or Yes
scroll using the start button to Yes
Press the adjust button and it will clear those results.
Repeat for any screen you want to clear results.
usually I do this for kl, 5x10 and top results.
The log remains intact so the next time you download you'll have all your sessions when you upload to KA72.
if you want to delete the log you have to be on the Speed screen and it will prompt you Delete Log.

Sue, I would talk to Boston, he must have some spare cables, he has destroyed a few watches.

If not I think I have a spare you can borrow.
