I need help. I use yo far GT31 on one arm and GW52 on other, just for compare.
When I ride I see that GW52 showing speed (actual speed), but, on the coast when I stop, he shows zero, and GW shows max speed
What do I need to set up to see max speed and 10sec when I stopped to look on gps

So far my setting is like that

Logging = 1Hz
Min speed = 1KT
Unit = NM
GMT
Speed avg = 10sec
Speed genie = 25 KT
action speed = speed
spd font = big
spd history = ON
scroll sec = 2sec

and what is the difference between small and big font becouse I don't see difference
and what is difference in Action speed between speed/avg

thanx in advance

With those settings you should only need to go over 25kts, to see you last run max and 10s and history max max speed and 10s.

You have action spd on NS AVG, I tried this setting and din't like it, but forget just why now, mine is set to SPD. I think you notice the difference in font size once you get the history max happening.

Also it's recommended to use 5HZ instead of 1HZ, the experts say that the GW52 has no anti-aliasing filter, so at 1HZ aliasing can be a problem. I have no idea just how big this problem is.
But at 5HZ you get a much nicer gybe trace, and an average of 10 points instead of only 2 for the 2second result.

eh thanx man
si, speed genie works different, I will lower it then
was on speed, just tried on ns avg, but problem is in speed genie as you wrote
i know 5hz is better, but with 1 is good for me and battery lasts longer
for some tests and short runs, expeccialy for alphas 5hz rules, it is 5 dots per second ;)

and SPEED AVG is ok on 10sec, or?

Depends what you want to see, if you're interested in your 5x10 then with ave on 10 secs you can work out your 5x10 on the water by checking the 5 best results. But if you're more interested in the 2s average then set it to that. Especially if you're using 5hz, the max reading can be a 1knt more than the 2s average.

OK only 0.1kt away from triggering the speed genie.
I set mine so it's above my upwind speed but lower than my downwind speed, that way I can gybe at the end of the run, go back to the start and check my last speed run while I wait for the next gust.

GPS Action Replay is the same and can't process 5Hz results.
I use 1 Hz for easy download and more battery life
Also, I get spikes at 5Hz, so far zero spikes on 1Hz

The latest GPSResults has no problem with GW52 5hz files, but because of the ripply nature of 5hz, (is this what you're talking about Te Hau), you have to increase the max acceleration in the filters. By default it's set to 5, I increase mine to 7.
