Hi thereI use Loco GW52 (besides two of mine GT31)Allways in Aquapack, device never been fallen, broken or any kind of damage. I don't use is so far 4 months becouse of ice and winter but now, display is kind of unreadable. What can be wrong, no water in devise or moisture, I've tried to re-firmware it, no help, GW52 is correctly connect to software, all data is there and settings is ok, also it write log just you cant read nothing from screen

Also I am interesting to buy some new gps speedsurfing device, What u recommend me?Thanx in advance

wkcwarrior, can you pull the device apart and post up some photos of the circuit and internals ?. Depending on the damage/fault, depends on the course of action. It might be as simple as a circuit board header connector that has developed oxided/galvanised connections. A simple remove/insert could fix such a fault etc.

There is a ribbon cable between display and circuit board, this has always seemed a bit fragile to me. A careful clean of the connections, may well fix it.

In my opinion the best device for us is the DIY loggers, either 2 on the boom or one on the arm.
If DIY is not possible for you then the mini motion is the best commercial device.

i put it apart
half of ribbon flat cable between display and board is broken, ruinedso there is no chanceonly if I find gw52 with dead battery to put mine into it

all works, but i cant see and know that gps is on, you must turn it on with touch screen and i cant see nothing on the screen
got two gt31, i will waste this one.... thanx to all 4 tips
