Have briefly spoken to Nebbs, and any ideas we come up with have to be written into the GTC website program by Nebbs so not all possible, but at least lets throw up some ideas. I'll start:

1 we drop from 4 discards to 2 discards?
2 Each nation finds their own sponsors for prizes to be given away?
3 Each nation gathers its own donations for medals and trophies like the Australian National challenge
4 Monthly Champion
5 Nebbs has got some great ideas for a more interactive website, that he may want to explain himself

can comments posted against a session be emailed to everyone who posts either a session or a comment on that session, if you get what I mean. Bit like Facebook, you get notified of comments against a wall post or if someone posts something to your wall or if you make a comment on someone elses, you get linked in.
Just a thought. Always good to say thank you if people have taken the time to congratulate etc etc just in case you don't get back to GTC for a few days, but you will see your emails etc etc
Only one problem I could see with that, Hardie will get about a million emails daily as he is always adding encouraging comments against most sessions!!! Onya for that.

How about a link to seabreeze discussions like this (with a bit of a description of the subject), on the GTC home page, then it's more likely the international community will get involved.

ever thought about a "virtual slalom" category, such as 6 alphas in 3 kms??????

I thought the 4 discards was a good idea because last winter Ireland and England had little or no wind for at least 4 months of the year so those months for us have been discarded. At the moment we are in the middle of a new ice age with feck all wind again so maybe leaving the 4 discards in make the competition fairer for all countries competing as we are probably gonna have a crap winter for wind again. In Holland they can't sail for at least 3-4 months due to most of the spots icing over so dropping the discards to 2 would be very unfair for the countries that can't get out and sail
