Hey Guys,

I need some help here, last Sunday I sailed with our team at Vicky Point QLD and when I checked my data at home I noticed 4 files were saved on my card. Different time stamp, this is the first time this happen to me.

I'm not sure if this is a setting issue or something else coursed the data split in 4 files. See screen shot

Any ideas or suggest would be welcome.

Thanks Bisek - Bayside Queenland

Download Realspeed (http://www.intellimass.com/RealSpeed/) software and have a look at each file of those session. Assuming they are bits of what you need, then you can combine all of them into 1 file for importing into KA72.

Is it possible that you switched the unit off and back on during the day? Or maybe you didn't keylock it and you saved each session.

thanks, I checked the key lock and it was not locked. hopefully this will be the case. I just wander if the toggle got bumped during sailing and reset it, not sure about this.

If you don't lock the GPS before you set out it is easy to knock the toggle without realising it and reset things.

Yep, lesson learned. Interesting how sensitive the Toggle is! I have been lucky so far or there was enough air in the pouch to prevent any bumping & touching the Toggle.

Thanks guy's much appreciate your input...........

Check your card size setting. It should be on CARD SIZE.
The time stamp is a bit too regular for a bump issue. Check your file sizes of the days sessions , if they are all the same then it's the card size setting

Hey Kato,

I checked my files and you are correct, they are the same (128 KB). I checked my GT31 setting and it seems that the card file setting was at 128 KB. What is interesting that prior to this multiple files saves my other session ranges from 178 KB to 600 KB and did not split them! The last file Time stamp 3.51 was the end of my session.

It's puzzles me, but thanks for your tip.....

I'd check all the rest of your settings. I'm not sure what caused yours to change, (stray gamma ray perhaps?), but whatever it was could have affected other things as well.

My GT31 was set-up for me, can anybody send me the correct settings procedure, or the link with the correct set-up.

Thanks......

Here is a direct link to the setup guide: www.locosystech.com/en/page/support-download-datasheets.html

It is found on this page:www.locosystech.com/product.php?zln=en&id=30#

look for: "GT-31 setup guide by a windsurfer/kitesurfer Basil Cambanis"

There is also a lot of info here: www.mtbest.net/setting-up-navi-GT31.htm (but set logging to ON, not to ON-FIX)
