I appear to have some inaccuracies in my in my unit. When sailing and checking the screen my 2 sec / 10 sec numbers are 2knts slower than when I down load the results on the KA72 site. ( I lock the screen and have it set on speed ).
Am I doing something wrong or do I need to update the unit. ( Unit purchased Nov 14 )
Any advice appreciated.

First you need to check all your settings against the recommended settings.

Make sure you have the screen set to the 'SPEED' menu and not the Speed screen on the "NAVIGATION' menu.

If you have not got a firmware version that ends in a 'T', you don't have the enhanced firmware and it's extras. Download and install it. (might need some help from team mates if not very familiar with Windows computers.)

Pretty sure I have it on "Speed" menu and have Speed Genie on.

Jacko, if you have the factory firmware, speed genie only displays the last run that triggered the speed genie setting. (As Andrew says, Tom's version displays both history max and last run.)
So unless you check every run, you can easily miss your best one.

version number is the 2nd last item in the settings menu, so if you go to settings and scroll backwards it'll come up straight away

Yes I think this is the case and explains my situation.

The generosity of people on this forum to assist anyone with a issue no matter what their level of experience, is truly amazing.
