Any one know if you can set up the Speed Genie on a GT 31 on a mac. Or better still anyone able to do it for me on Windows?

Easiest to set it up on the GT31. Just go to settings, scroll down to speed genie and set the speed you want.

The GT31 is set up directly from the 'Settings' menu on the device itself. It does not require to be connected to a computer to do this.

Note: The only change I recommend from the settings on the above link is to set Looging to ON, rather than ON-FIX. We have found we get slightly better data that way. (it can sometimes take a few more seconds to get sensable data after a 'FIX' is lost and regained in the ON-FIX setting)

After recording a session, you use the GPS in the same way as with a Windows computer. Simply SAVE TO CARD and then remove the SD card and read it via the card reader in your Mac, (or if you have a later model without a built in SD card reader, use a USB card reader). The files you need are either the .sbn. or .sbp recorded on that day which you can then analyse in the software of your choice to get your full results.

The main software options are GPS-Results (Mac version), GPSAR-Pro (Java) or upload the file to KA72 Speedlocker for online analysis.
