I went into the GPs and did something to the trip meter settings ( I wanted to have it start a new trip each time I sailed). I can't remember what I did but now everytime I go to turn it off it won't turn off until it's created a new file.. I have heaps of the buggers.. Anyone know what I might have done and how to fix it?

Wow Sue, you've created a new one there. I thing you'll have to go through all the settings and check them. My guess is something in the "Memory card" or "Data Logger" menus

Mine also will not turn off untill at least 2 files are created, usually 3.

I think I may have worked out a way to stop it..I went into the miscel menu and got rid of the trip auto save setting ( which I hope was the one I set up before?) . The GPS now seems to be going normally I just hope it still records the kms..

I think you found it Sue, I'm fairly sure there's nothing in "misc" that's important.

Maybe we need a list somewhere of "traps for young players", there's quite a few of them with this machine.
