I haven't used my spare GT31 for ages but loant it yesterday to someone who needed a gps. I turned it on and off but forgot you had to save to card.
I put the sd card in a reader today to upload the session and there is no sign of it in the session list.
Anyway of finding and retrieving the session?

Hi sboardcrazy. I'm probably not the best person to advise here as I'm a bit of a tech dinosaur.

I'm still using a GT31 as my main gps. It should automatically save to the SD card.

But as it hasn't saved to the SD card, it can be retrieved from the internal GT31 memory. Just go into the settings and select save to card. Hopefully, it will transfer the stored session to the SD card for you.

If this doesn't work, it probably has either a SD card or card reader fault on the GT31.

Sorry I can't be any more helpful.

^^^ If that doesn't work try a free data recovery software Sue, I'm not sure if that's the answer but might be worth a go ?

when you switch it on it should show 'card found' after a few seconds

OK. Thanks. I'll give it a go. I think I've rescued sessions like that in the past..

I have the data. Can I post it for someone else? If so how?

only team captain can post for someone else.
Failing that email it to the sailor so they can post, or log in as the sailor.

OK. I don't think the sailor would be able to do tech stuff. I'll send the stats to the team leader.
