Hi,

I was in Wind SurfnSnow today and checked out their fins. They had a set of FO Nitro fins. They looked good to me so I'm thinking of buying a few. Can anyone comment on them? The price seems reasonable. I'm hoping to find a fin that helps me to go a bit faster when powered up. My boards have powerbox fin boxes so that rules out a large range of fins.

You should have asked Sam.
Nice looking fins.

I'd say a 36cm would do fine for your Tabou even up to 7.0+
and a 30 or 32cm for smaller boards & sails.

I use a 36cm on both my boards with 5.8 & 7m sails.

It was quite busy there so I did not want to take up their time. The fins looked quite good and I think I'd like to buy two or three of them to cover different wind strengths and sail sizes.

Its time to retire some of the fins I have. Some are close to 15 years old. So how do you rate the 36cm Nitro fin Peter?

I used the FO 34 Nitro for the first time yesterday in my 87 I-Sonic with a 6.2 Reflex II, worked really well, both up and off the wind, I'm going to get some larger ones for the I-Sonic 111.
It was nice to be out on the water and in control

Thanks for the feedback.

I can't remember what sizes I looked at but looking at the website I think I'd get a quiver of a 320mm, 360mm and 400mm as the sail range I use is from 7.8m down to 5.9m.

I bought a nitro 30 for my isonic 86 for something a bit shorter along sandbars and very suprised about how grippy they are in flat and choppy waters can use it for anything from a 5.0 to a 7.0 they truck upwind as well

Ads has got one. I think he has a 38cm for his slalom board.

Yep that's right, I have the Flying Objects Nitro 38 and run it with the JP 65 Slalom VI & NP RS6 7.2. It's a powerful fin with pretty good top end. I have done 30+ knots with this combo but I'm sure would go quicker 33/34+ given the right conditions(and rider perhaps)!
