First time sailing on the "glass" for me. Most sailors had departed so with just 4 others on the water it was great to have plenty of freedom.

Huge thanks to Mark and Maree Jordan for their help and loan of fin and GPS unit plus Adrian for his advice.

Some take aways for me, an average coastal sailor who focuses on waves, but will also have a stab at slalom and down winders:

Mind Blowing - how smooth the water at LG can be with no visible wind chop in places.
Fascinating - the intricacies of kit (especially fins), equipment set up, technique etc.
Unsettling - fanging along in such shallow water.
Intriguing - learning a new, totally alien language of GPS riders.
Addictive - pursuit of stats: top speeds, averages, distances etc.

Managed to register 36 knots, so not bad for first weekend. I'll be back for more

Great to meet you Mark and see you do so well on your first Lake George experience.
The Lake George 'sailing glass experience' is infectious!

See you in the future.
