Hi,

I'm wondering if 30/40° angle fins (like C3 Slingshot) is enought to sail at Lake George?

I don't want to buy à real weed fins beacause, I'm not sure to sail at Lake George and my homespot don't have any weed.

May I find a C3 Slingshot (20/21cm) or a fins like this in a windsurfshop in NSW, VIC, SA?

Rider: 78kg
Board : F2 Missile XS 54l
Sails : Stealth 6 and 5,2
Fins : Tecto Falcon

Slingshots will be fine. I,ve used the Ka speed fins there with no problems which are a similar shape and rake.I,d still grab a good speed weed fin if you can spare the dollars as they do work in non weed areas too. Just finished reboxing a few fins to use over there when the time is right and no it won,t be this weekend but I might send a rep or two instead

Hey Heflav,
I've been wondering for a while why there's no GPSteamchallenge team in France?

I think french guys don't really know the GPS Team Challenge but I heard about people who will create a team.
Those guys sail a lot and are very fast...

Be great if they do start a team, we need somebody to give the Dutch guys a bit of competition.

Hi Heflav, you don't have to be very fast to start a team, the GPSTC is great fun just to be part of, give it a go

from a local YES and No
at the moment yes you can get by ok, later can be a pain in the arse to get going sometimes but once planing is ok if you get a clean start. but a speed board sinking into the weed to take of everytime can be frustrating to put it nicely just ask tony W last year.
I have a 20 techtonics nomad which is 30 degrees and it gives me the ****s trying to get going on the missile in the weed,
A good 45 degree weedy will drop the weed off as soon as you do a few bunny hops.
then again as kato said some crew get on alright, I now the Perkins from tassie ran C3 slingshots last year in full weed and done some sweet sessions. maybe pm them.
but this year there is a big clear patch near the weather station that will help imensly to getting started once the wed is full on in Feburary.

Just go on seabreeze buy and sell here as there is always heaps of weedys in Wa and they are easy to post anywhere.

Weedys hold the board onto he water really good and can be swet in normal areas as well. 47 was the top here last summer and that was with a weedy.
