Just picked up a 31cm weedy from WSP for some flat water runs - no guesses where Pinna's are heading tomorrow.
Anyway what is the best preparation for a fin. I hate the bumps from the writing on the trailing edge - surely this must affect the fin. Also the glass like water beading finish. So i very lightly sanded it (circular motion but more in the direction the water flows with a very fine wetndry) and it feels much smoother when wet - water sticking to the fin making a boundary layer?
Is this the correct thing to do - or is a highly polished anti-water finish better, as supplied.
Not sure? Tony I think YoYo, Slowboat and Sailquik are probably best to answer this.
What I do is look at the surface of the fin after sailing and try to get out chips/scratches etc, I finsih with 800 wet and dry, but me no expert
