thepeacemaker said..your in no position to define sailing for others and nobody asked you to police the gps
The truth is, Decrepit and Sailquik and Sausage
were asked to police the GPSTC (along with others, including me). When Hardie resigned as administrator, a number of people around the country were invited to be in the administrative committee - because of their enthusiasm for the competition and technical knowledge. Other interested parties could also nominate at that time.
Decrepit may be anonymous to you but I know him well.
If you knew him you could not help but respect and like him. I have never heard a bad word about him from anyone who knows him.
Decrepit is a very quiet, understated and modest man despite his expert skills. If he has been thrust into a position of authority it is because he was asked to do so and responded because he wanted to support the GPSTC in a time of transition, not because he aspired to a position of power.
Decrepit is quietly competitive but not overtly so, and is willing to assist any sailor who asks for assistance, even captains from rival teams.
Decrepit and Sailquik's work with various GPS devices is freely shared for the edification of all, and most of us are grateful for their efforts because it saves us from having to do put in the effort.
Decrepit and the GPSTC administrative team have my full support.
"thepeacemaker" clearly has a problem with the GPSTC. It would be helpful if you were to clearly state exactly and concisely what your complaint is, without personal insults, via the contact page on the GPSTC so your problem can be directly addressed by the committee.
