Help! Am trying to download a track into EasyGPS, but it's saying that it's receiving data it can't understand, and then saying there are no tracks on my GPS. Yesterday I downloaded it on my home computer, and the track is saved in the GPS (Etrex H), so there must be something wrong with my work laptop set-up? It used to work fine with my old laptop, but this is the first time I've tried it with my new laptop. What am I missing here?

Try the USB in all the ports - one by one... Mine only downloads through 1 of the 6 USB ports on my laptop...

Yeah, on my old laptop it only worked on one of the 4, this laptop has only 2, and tried them both. Might try re-installing the usb-serial driver.

No, bit far away to see for certain, and the sail doesn't ring any bells.
Now I'm back on my home computer which worked yesterday so I tried to download another track, but getting the same error messages here too - must have changed something on the gps unit????????????????????????

You guys have some great flat water spots over there Drove up to Bay of Fires on 29th, and then cruised back down to Opossum Bay on 30th, what a top State you guys have to play in
That West Coast wilderness is something special as well
The drive down into Queenstown from the hills,

Hi Mineral,

Not sure who that sailor was either. Glad you like your trip around Tassie. Some of those flat water spots you saw look good when there's no wind, but when the wind gets up they can be pretty choppy. Shot of where that sailor was sailing when it's 25 knots posted below. Nevertheless, many great spots to sail.
