Hey there, does anyone know the dates for this years Sandy Point Speed Fortnight yet?

Depends if they get the road into Wilsons Prom fixed in time!

Landslides closed road off this week (took most of road out) & bridge abutment also washed away.

Lots of campers stuck in Sandy Point.

Imagine having to ring work "Sorry boss, road is out & I will be stuck here in desolate Sandy Point for the next two weeks & it's horrible & blowy" [}:)]

No wrong spot [}:)] The Pit is ok and the Darby bridge abutments have been damaged and some sections of the road are damaged. Don,t believe everything you see in the media.

1st Oct to 16th Oct. Last week of Vic school Holidays and first week of term 4. And yes there will be wind

I'm going to try and make it this year.
Tried out my new rig a few days ago, and it seems respectably fast. Not sure how fast, as I took every piece of gear I own, except the GPS. Twat !!

I met a nice bloke called Kelly while stuck in the floods at Bowen a few days ago though. He might be interested.
