Try as I might, and despite reading whatever I can find, I cannot figure out how to combine files in Realspeed. On an average sailing day there might be three or four separate files listed on the SD card, as the Navi seems to start a new file if you stop moving for a bit.

I can open one of these, but if I open another, either by clicking "File" - "Open" or "File" - "Import", all I can see is the last one I opened; it doesn't combine them.

I can't find a "combine" button anywhere, and I have just downloaded the latest version.

What am I doing wrong?

Go to the "View->Divisions" menu to make the divisions show up, then click the little '+' to expand the track files list. Now choose "file->import" so that two files get loaded.

Now right-click on the "track files" entry and select "combine files'.

Thanks Mat. There is also more info on my website in the FAQ section at http://www.intellimass.com/RealSpeed/Combine_Files.htm.

I must admit I dont like software that isn't obvious how to do something, and it looks like I am a culprit! I will put the combine files into the main menu to help people find it. Just as a word of advice, I have used the right click and context menus quite a bit so if in doubt, use the right mouse button.

That shouldn't happen, you should only get a new file if you turn the unit off then on again.

If you're getting multiple files without turning the unit off, check what you have "file size" set to under "memory card". It should be set to "card size", if it's anything else it will start a new file once it reaches that size.

Thanks for the tips guys - it seems Decrepit has solved the problem of the multiple files, and the combining works no problems all the ones I have created up until today.
