How did people get on in the gusty Westerly yesterday? I topped out at 27.3 knots and could have done a fair bit better but my board and fin were just way too big...
Im going to give the vacant lot at Collaroy a look after work. Depends on the direction. As to Crash's query, myself and about 20 others sailed Narrabeen yesterday in what was surprisingly a good day. Lots of bullets as usual but it was warm and windy. Got some good down winders in under Pipeclay and managed to get a 31.5 on the display. I'd be really interested to see my tracks as the speeds kept inching up. I was on a Falcon 111, 40cm fin and Maui Sails TR3. probably too big but you nedded it for the lulls. Most guys on 5.5 to 6. Still a fun day had by all.
fingers crossed it's still blowing tomorrow and then I'll be out. Couldn't give two rats about the stupid race but I sure as hell care about a good southerly!
had a good sail @ the lake Sunday, got a 2 second 28.8kn, as usual lower than the max 29.7 displayed Just downloaded KA43's tracks, some good speeds on there, didn't see a 31.5 though... He should be happy with it though
I'll be very interested to see what he does end up with cause I had a peak yesterday of 31.5 and it ended up as 30.5 on realspeed. Good to see some more cockroaches posting times, better late than never!
