I know that feeling chasing my first 40 very well! 5 times with 40 point something on the dial and walking away with 39.9knots downloaded before I broke through and did it easy on the day I did. Your venue looks similar to a place we have here at Henty on the west coast. Well done cracking 40! Bet that felt awesome!

What wind directions work are good for Bunbeg to work? Is that a frequent direction?

Exactly!! Yep, looks like it might work tomorrow, need 40 over 250m and 500m, a peak of 42-44 would be great..lets see. Thanks for the positive response

SW is best, which is actually the prevailing wind in Ireland.. So it works well, what is amazing is that it's only 15 minutes away from the most amazing reef break, so frequently in the same day we'll get a sped session in (it works low tide and the hour afterwards so 2 hours, other wise rip is savage and it gets lumpy) and a top class wave sailing session!!

So it worked again today, it was nuclear windy, 45 plus knots, slight more square than the other day so just inside 40, if it had been broader defo 42 plus would have been possible
