That dent is all Muppet power, now wonder Blair looked a bit concerned after I surfaced

At that time I'm actually on the windward side (this side) of the board with my back foot stuck in the strap, that's the bottom of the board you can see.

Some people will note that there is quite a sizable difference between the radar top speeds and peoples GPS speed's, The picture below hopefully offers some explanation.

Where the radar gun was set up and aimed was where the water started "thinking" about smoothing out (compared to out back), the smoothest runs were well past the gun into the bay, however even that was a bit of a mission dodging strategically placed cray boats and moorings.

Respect to all who lined up in front of the gun it was a full on day

Also

Apologies for being a "Beach Nazi" and getting everyone to park a long way from the shore but I think it worked out a lot better than having a huge wind shadow in those conditions. That felt like a bloody long way to lug my gear back.

Huge thanks to

WSP for the event
Anna Marie and Mel for the time keeping

That was fun

Here are a few pics from Col. They really show how rough it was out the back and how smooth the 100m close in near the radar gun was!!
The old faithfull Carbon Art Speed 50 handled it great
