Recently Yoyo, had a flat battery on his Canmore, when he charged it up there was only a few kb left spare in the memory.
He found a review that said this was a major failing with the canmores. When the battery goes flat it dumps mega data into a hidden file in memory.
With both his XP box and the modern system at the library, Yoyo couldn't find this hidden file.
But before throwing the unit away, he broughtit around here to plug into my linux box, voila! up come a folder named "Found" with several big files in it. We deleted them and the Canmore was operational again.

I don't know if the "Found" folder would be visible to a Mac, but it's worth a try if you have this problem.
Other wise if you don't know anybody with a linux box, you can download a "live" linux distro on CD, for free, and that should be able to fix your Canmore.

Somebody who knows what they're doing may also know how to make the Found folder visible in windows, that would be the simplest solution.

Did you try looking for the folder in a cmd window? Type "Z:" or whatever the drive is, followed by "cd \GP-102\" and then "dir /ah", it should pop up. If it does, type "attrib Found -r -a -s -h" and it'll appear when you look in explorer.

I've come across this problem before but since I use a chromebook (*nix), I didn't realise you couldn't see the folder...

I wasn't there when Yoyo was looking in windows, I've no idea what he did.
But I've just been talking to 'ken over the road, he wonders if yoyo ticked the "view hidden files" box.

on a Mac : To view hidden folders:
Open the Terminal (located in /Applications/Utilities/)
At the command prompt type defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool true
Press return to execute the command. (Sometimes for the the changes to take effect, either log out then log back in again, or relaunch Finder )
