Had another great time at Burrum got a few good sessions before the event but just didn't have a big enough rig to get planning.
The Loft Team house ended up becoming party central with guys partying up stairs and down stairs most nights.

My wife got a heap of photos of the sailing, over 200 from the Monday and she will be posting more from the previous days over the next few days. She has been getting into photography and is self taught over the past year. I look at a lens and all I see is a an isonic mashed up into the size and shape of a lens.

www.rebeccasavill.com is the website (click on sailing and windsurfing etc)

Let me know if you have any trouble viewing the website as it is a modified template so she can fix things up - sometimes the latest browser updates throw things out.

Rebecca,
Nice website and some really good photos of Burrum - well done. Of course you deleted all evidence after photo 8576 of Greg smacking me in the head with his boom.

Surfing the net and came across this: from ABC news;

The controversial monument to the historic Tree of Knowledge in western Queensland has won national recognition.

The $5 million memorial was opened earlier this year in Barcaldine to mark the site which is known as the birthplace of the ALP.

It has won the grand prize in the 2009 Australian Timber Design Awards.

Barcaldine Mayor Rob Chandler says the award is a huge credit to the designer Brian Hooper and the construction team.

"I suppose it is the enormity of what these guys have done with the timber and the timber design and the amount of recycled timber they've used in the design," he said.

"There are over 4,000 individual sticks of timber ... nothing like this has been done ever before in the world where an architect has tried to recreate the canopy of a tree using hanging timbers."

And not to forget the award winning beach house

People are always quoted of saying how they've rubbed shoulders with the rich and famous,well i didn't get to rub shoulders but did this count
