G'day

I'm trying to find the best GPS software to download/upload my results to the GPS team challenge (gpsteamchallenge.com.au).

I've found the following:

GPS-Results:
www.gps-results.com. Euro 29 after 30 day trial. Looks really good.

RealSpeed:
www.intellimass.com/RealSpeed/Index.htm. Euro 20. Haven't tried it.

GPS-Speedsurfing:
http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com. Website with links to upload to team challenge. Auto reading of GPS files seems to be currently broken, but could be a good option when it works.

Any thoughts or other suggestions?

Cheers (and Merry Christmas !)...

Berowne.

use www.ka72.com
Don't bother with anything else. You can upload direct to the team Challenge site using this program, Dylan has made the interface so easy it's not funny.

I use Mal's Realspeed, been using it from day one and when it was free, then payed for it when it was withdrawn as a freebie, great Aussie product I like it because I can see where my best 2sec Nm and Alpha etc might have been and when. I guess GPSR & GPSSS would be as good or better, someone else who knows can reply. But as Sick Em says, Dylan's KA72 is great, as a team captain it has saved me heaps of work as now my PC challenge team mates can post themselves

I use GPS-Results it works well and has a link to the GPS -Speedsurfing website and sends the results to the website after putting in your GPS -Speedsurfing login and password. Then you can use the link to the teams challenge. Hope this helps.

I used to use Real Speed exclusively until my GT11 started being a bit dodgy. Now I use KA72 mainly as it can read files downloaded from the GT11's onboard data logger and differentiate between different sessions. Something I can't work out with Real Speed.

However Real Speed is still handy when I do silly things like drive home with the GPS still on. I'm not sure how you would edit tracts to remove erroneous data without something like Real Speed.

Download GPS Actionreplay you need to follow the video instructions mind but you get a free trial, this programme is excellent and very simple to use.

You can be as technical or as simple as you want analysing your tracks.

But if your not interested in how fast you went into a gybe and what exit speed you had and all other great things.

Then KA72 is the one unless you would actually like to see your 500m runs or how many alpha's were around the same speed as your fastest one of the day?

Just my thoughts....

Swagger, last time I tried the free version it didn't open .sbn files, (the preferred option for GT31s). Has that changed?
I use the pro version, but that isn't free.

Had no problems with opening files on the free trial just a small glitch with license key, after i paid for it.

But what a programme best money i have spent in a long time, analysing tracks bear offs and speeds into gybes.....

Gonna shut up think i'm getting to geeky.

If it had a free trial, and you had to pay for it, then it was GPSarPro.
Sorry I thought you were using the old free version, GPSar. That's the one that won't open .sbn files.

Thanks for the endorsement!

KA72 is aimed at the casual user. If you need indepth analysis of tracks, I use GPSResults or RealSpeed. Just what I'm used to.

Dylan.
