Does anyone know if the BGT-31 uses the same firmware as the GT-31?

I'm almost certain they're different. I certainly wouldn't try mixing them.

Woops, trouble with getting old, for some reason I had GT11 and GT31 in my head. Nebs is probably right here, if the locosys site doesn't have separate firmware, I'd say they're the same.

As I know GT31 and BGT31 a the same devices except BGT habe bluetooth support.
I contacted Locosys these days for importing BGT here, and thea telled me that they are indetical, only differebce is BT.

So, better check in some readme in firmware or contact tech support for more info.
It's better to know then destroy the device with false firmware, isn't it ?

Yup, I finally got a new one, and No, I didn't get any wind. In fact, that's probably killed the wind for a few weeks. Sorry 'bout that...

It seems that when there's no wind, I start buying stuff. I also replaced my broken boom and a new board bag for the new board. I need to get up to Sams, and get a new set of 28" harness lines and a couple of lengths of formuline. I hope the wind comes in soon, I'm going broke! I also bought a new mobile phone. A very expensive one too. Arrrgh!!!

Back on topic:
According to Tom Chalko, there's no reported problems using using non-bluetooth firmware. Cool!
