The file is available via the ka72.com website (all uploads there are available for a couple of weeks for confirmation purposes.)
If you use the search page (
www.ka72.com/Search) to search for downloadable tracks from Burrum Heads, it is second from the top. Click the download button.
FWIW, I've checked the file in KA72 and RealSpeed and (an older copy of) GPSResults. The closest on most measures was GPSResults. Looks like a little shopping around to get the best results, though the difference for the most part is around .02 of a knot.
As a side-comment (and not to single out Brad as I know a lot of sailors shop around their files in different software and are perfectly entitled to do so) I would be very interested to understand where the difference in speeds comes from. I'm pretty sure that my algorithms are as accurate as they can be with the data I've got, but when another program consistently rates tracks as slightly faster than mine does, that makes me suspicious.
Anyway, congratulations to Brad, even if the NM calc is out a little bit, it doesn't make enough of a difference to challenge the result. Vindication for us Qlders that Burrum is definately the spot for NM speeds in Australia!
Dylan.
