Weird yesterday. My Gt31 said 35kts top speed and 33. x 5 x 10.. I wish.. I was in chop and the top speed was about 25kts.
I thought it might have come on in the car but when I uploaded it put in the correct speed ..
I've never had it do that before..it is pretty old and slow to startup..
Any idea why it would do that?

Sue the Gt31 doesn't do 5X10, do you mean the 10s average?
It's probably a glitch, that the processing software filtered out.
What do you use for processing? if you look at the raw data, you'll probably see where it was.

EDIT, I've just downloaded from KA72 and I see no glitch, are you sure you deleted the display from the last session?

What did your other backup GPS say?

My GW60 said c 25.10 kts .
I haven't sailed flatwater for a while ( and that would be a good day for me ) so it's not a previous session.
Probably just a glitch..
