Trouble is finding it!
Yesterday early arvo we had a Nautical mile of very flat water, about an hour later the tide increased by a few centimeters, and the wind picked up by a couple of knots and the NM of flat decreased to under 500m.

Some places seem to always have flat water, others vary with conditions.

But once you experienced acres of glassy smooth, and the only noise you hear at 30+kts is the sound of your wake falling back on the surface, you're addicted.
