I've ordered a new 2013 iSonic Speed 58 to replace both my iSonic Speed 49 + iSonic 90 (check out the advertisements under Windsurfing Boards).

The iS58 is 82 litres, 231 long and 58 wide, flat vee to double concave.

I can run my existing Severne Reflex III 7.8m, 7.0m + 6.2m sails on this new speed board, but am keen to know the fin types and fin sizes that would be good on this board.

Keep in mind I'm 94kg and will step down to this gear from the iS107/7.8 combo.

The iS58 will be my Lake George ride this coming summer, so I'll be considering fins that are 'weed speed' or certainly shallow water speed fins, namely:
- Tectonics Hornet
- Moo Custom
- Vector Fins Delta Weed Speed
- Curtis Speed Fire
- etc ...

Your highly intelligent thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated ...

I only have one thing to say - "Stop gloating Chris"

PS - never actually ridden a speed board so can't help on fin advice.

Thank you Mr Sausage.

It's not a gloat...it's a genuine cry for help!

I don't know which fin combinations will be best?

Chris the Vectors are the go just ask Hamma and Kimba. but they are only 40 degrees and don't really cut to getting going if you are heavy and dip down into the weed when starting, once flying along is fine.
Suggest having a good talk to team captain Kimba as he can help you best.

I will only use 45 degree fins in summer fullstop .

Lake is full up to the spit at the moment and no weedy needed, knee deep 5 feet out on big lake side.the speed run along the spit is weed free and clean of any rocks in the water and the bushes that where growing there have all disapeared somehow !

water level is still rising and will be way higher than last summer, weed beds still there but dormant in the cold water.
.
If you want to clear your choco 30 let me know.

Hi Chris, as Jamie said the Vector was great when going but my 27 is only 35 degrees and picked up a bit of weed if not started powered. Once going it was fine and only caught weed when the water was shallow and the weed really thick. The 23 I have is 40 degrees and I think you can get them all in 45 if required. You're welcome to try mine!
