US box fin in 10-12cm

I want only one fin, and I am a cheapskate (particularly for an experiment board where I am just trying to get the setup right)

So won't spend $80 on a pair....

Fin for a 10-12cm box (mini US), or a 10-12cm fin for a normal 8" US box ?

For mini US box also to above Maui Ultra make a 12.5cm X-tri and Black Project a 12cm wave multi.

I had to give both very very minor sanding to fit.


If you find something else I want 2 x 16cm fins for a mini us box (or even 14cm). I have given up looking though, I guess the argument is the loads are too great for the mini boxes and everyone has slot boxes for side fins.

You can also cut a normal US fin down. Cut the back of the base out and re-drill the pin further forward, but you also have to add a small cut out in the fin at the base at the back so it will "tilt" to fit in the box. Tried it a few times with old fins, it doesn't need as much of a cut-out as you might think. It seems to works OK but you need two old fins to match.

Normal US box fin, and cant be bothered cutting down bigger fins, I want a factory G10 10-12cm ideally...........
