Not at all. I somehow missed that story. That's bizarre. I would have expected a failed finbox before a catastrophic failure like that. Is that why you cut your thumb on your fin. You're keeping it extra sharp so it slices right through turtles without stopping?![]()

Had one at shearwater where the mast pin snapped. Rig and board separated and I was sitting in the water, out going tide trying to swim back to shore. Luckily a kiter came and towed me in. Not a big stack but a pretty off putting experience that's for sure.
