Hi, I am new to windsurfing in Vic and would like to know where are good spots to windsurf from in the bay, preferably on the eastern side as I coming from Burwood. I see tomorrow's wind is predicted to be westerly. Spots with good parking and grass to rig up would be good also.

Cheers,
Peter

hey there... pretty new at it too, but seems that elwood and st kilda are still popular, am thinking of going tommorow too but it looks like the wind will be too on shore for me at at both those spots, so maybe at sandringham pier in the little bay there or further down the peninsula may be easier sailing 4 me..... but thats coz im still having trouble trying to point too much up wind

Hi Peter
I asked the same question last year and got some responses that might be helpful. See my post "Local knowledge needed - Melbourne". I'm in Burwood too so if you want to buddy up for the drive let me know. I used to live within a few minutes walk of a fantastic windsurfing spot so am finding it hard to get motivated to drive the 30mins to a spot here. How pathetic is that?
