I taught my daughter to windsurf on my Naish 11'6" Nalu. It was great fun. used a NP 4.7 Zone wave sail. I had to help her hold the rig but she got the basics.
Have also used my old Gaastra Grind 6.2 on same board in the surf. Was fun catching small waves.
Keen to try a much smaller board.
Have fun.

I have a 10' Vandal that i have put a 4.2 for fun and to teach my wife....hahahaha fun that is. Also i stuck a 5.0 on my Fanatic Fly 10' that was pretty cool. I should have tried the 6.5 Tush for the wind conditions.

I purchased my sups with the option to put a sail on for fun. Glad i did. Sometime the wind is a pain for SUP'n but not enough for a windsurf. This fills the gap

I've run a sail on my JP 9'6" JP surf SUP. I use Simmer Icons and Blacktips and have used a 4.7m Icon on the SUP. I haven't been that big a fan of using a sail on the SUP, as soon I put a sail on I keep expecting the 136L JP SUP to behave like my SSD 70L waveboard and it just doesn't... obviously, then I feel disapointed. Also I can paddle out to my local break quicker than I can rig and sail out, and I do like not having to bother rigging up a sail when the wind is marginal.

It is handy as a beginner board for teaching people to windsurf on though.

KAOS69 you might find it easier to sell your gear as a package or trade at least some it on a SUP at a shop that sells both windsurf and SUP gear.

i know what you mean about filling the gap i have windsurfed and kitted for a along time and find this sup sailing is the bit that fits no wind days 5knts and its enough to wave sail , no paddling long rides , no crowds ,awesome i use a jp 9'9 with a 5m but i had ago on a smaller starboard 9'0 with a 4.5 what a difference just like windsurfing with out the swimming when the wind drops out . i am not looking to give up sailing or kitting but sup sailing just gives way more time out on the water and at the end of the day thats what i want
