The best I had was 1 , helped test and develop with Ben Kelly from Horizon Sails it was his first it was light strong and he did a great job

1999 KA Killer. Have serious reinforcing all the way through it. Absolutely bomb proof.

My 4.5 & 5.4 are still going strong - i use them to teach. This is all i could find online, dont have pics of mine handy.

I still use my 1997 ezzy's can't see a reason to change them as only sail onshore bump and jump, only some patches on the sleeve from broken masts. used wave panther 3's last time in Maui and weren't as good as my old ones home. have set from 3.5 to 5.5. the 4.2, 4.7 and 5.0 have been flogged and still going good, no mono and vinyl windows.
will have to have a party for there 18th birthday.

The embarrassing thing about Ezzy's was they used to put the year on the bag, using a last century sail wasn't a big image booster.

When leaving the beach I would sometimes catch the top of the sail on a corrugated tin shade roof the council put up, would always check for damage but the roof was only dented a little bit.

My 2007 Ezzy is probably the strongest sail i´ve had, but not my favorite in terms of handling.

I didn't have many sails but my old '91 Simmer Style Wave Comp were incredibly well built. I remember the reinforcements in their signature 3-part PVC window were actually NOT sewn-on, but rather the three 'holes' for the window panels were cut out of a continuous Mylar laminated panel in order to have less cuts and less stitching. Sorry no pics, I hope my description is clear. Sails were heavy indeed, but felt bomb proof.

I had one of these, bombproof! The only sail that was stronger than an ezzy. However unlike an ezzy, it weighed a tonne and handled like a pig!

I've still got an '06 Ezzy SE 5.8. It's now failing in the x ply laminate.

I bought it at the end of '07 as new old stock. In the intervening time its had a fair amount of weekend sailing as one of my most used sails but it had a 3 year holiday when it was only used maybe twice. That works out to 4 years of weekend sailing.

It has never been dried in the sun or otherwise unnecessarily exposed to uv but it has developed lots of small cracks and holes along the luff where it gets a bit of scrunching when rigging - not a great performance for a sail that's supposed to be durable unless it was in fact somewhat cooked before I bought it.

I have an older 7.2 Ezzy Infinity ('03) that was my most used sail through some seasons. It's still going strong but it has a few small seam failures in the Xply and vinyl and a bit of luff tube damage from some incident that I don't remember. It's probably had about 5 years of regular weekend use, so no complaints.

All in all I'm not convinced about the "legendary durability" of Ezzy sails.

NOT the same thing ...
the MS-2 in my avatar was a strong n powerful sail, but did NOT last as long as i would have liked
using it on ice n snow did NOT help either
