Thanks Jase but all's good. It was one of the arms that snapped right next to the head, the head itself is still good. I had a feeling that this would happen eventually as the x6 had a continuous head and I doubt is meant to be cut and attached to a seperate head. With 110kegs swinging off it, it was always going to happen.

I got a few years out of the boom before the original crack appeared at the head and only attempted the repair due to purchasing a hydro head as a spare and having it on hand.
I've got a boom that will get me through the windy days but now on the hunt for a 180+ boom for a big guy to rig for those marginal days.
